Le 25 février 2007, Daniel Roy était présent à la soirée Les chuchotements de l’âme, un événement de sensibilisation organisé par le Regroupement des aidantes et aidants naturel(le)s de Montréal (RAANM). Il en a profité pour questionner Nancy Guberman, chercheure et professeure en travail social à l’Université du Québec à Montréal :

Humaniser la bureaucratie «Lors de mon arrivée à la soirée Les chuchotements de l’âme, je me demandais «comment vais-je retrouver une personne dont j’ignore le visage?» Je n’ai pas eu à chercher trop longtemps. Je me suis présenté à l’accueil et la bénévole derrière la table était nulle autre que la personne que j’étais venu interviewer: Nancy Guberman. «Voilà ce que j’appelle une personne qui s’implique», dis-je et elle, de me répondre humblement : «Bahh, ce n’est rien, je n’ai pas eu à organiser quoi que ce soit…»

Nancy Guberman est chercheure et professeur en travail social à l’Université du Québec à Montréal. Une femme au franc parler et avec des idées claires pour améliorer la qualité de vie des proches aidants et des aidé(e)s. Droits égaux aux services, la femme, l’homme, le rôle d’aidante et d’intervenant, place à l’amélioration… Écoutez son analyse éclairante de la situation avec des solutions parfois même d’une désolante simplicité. Aux prochaines élections, je vote Guberman!»
